Photographing from a boat can give us not only a different perspective on landscape (or seascape) photography, but it can also get to us to locations that would otherwise be impossible to reach. Both Andy and Juan are fortunate enough to shoot from many types and sized boats, from Kayaks to medium 100 passenger boats. While making great images from a boat is not difficult, it can sometimes present challenges or at least prompt many questions. In this episode of the reCOMPOSE podcast, Andy and Juan share their best tips and approaches on shooting from a boat.
We don’t always have all the answers, but if we don’t we will research it and try to give you the best answer we can. So what have you got to lose, go ahead and send in your questions to us at contact@recompose.photo.
Thanks for listening, Steve!
Great podcast guys!
I've had some great experiences shooting from my kayak- like having 6 loons pop up right in front of me on Lake MacDonald in GlacierNP. In addition to waterfowl, I've seen beaver, otter, swimming bears on St. Mary Lake (Glacier NP),otters, and moose.
